Senior Living Activities: An Animal Experience at The Abide

Residents at The Abide recently enjoyed a special animal visit as part of our ongoing commitment to providing meaningful senior living activities. Carolina Waterfowl Rescue brought a variety of animals for residents to see and learn about, including feathered and furry animals, snakes, and several other unique species. The interactive presentation gave residents the opportunity to ask questions, observe the animals up close, and enjoy an afternoon that was both educational and engaging.

The visit offered a rich, multi-sensory experience as residents were able to see, touch, and interact with a wide variety of animals. Experiences like these provide meaningful engagement and offer opportunities for residents to connect with the world around them in new ways.

At The Abide, we believe the best senior living activities are those that promote connection, engagement, and overall well-being. For older adults, including those living with dementia, hands-on experiences can provide valuable sensory stimulation while creating moments of enjoyment and discovery.
