I’ve had the privilege of working with older adults and their families throughout my career in healthcare. During my time in a local hospital, I often cared for patients who arrived from large senior living communities. Their families frequently shared similar frustrations—short staffing, rushed routines, and care that felt more task-driven than personal.

Many of these hospitalizations felt preventable. They were often the result of systems stretched too thin, where even the most dedicated caregivers struggled to provide truly individualized care.
